September 2004: Andrea Beretta (Director BU Financial Services NNI) and
Alessandro Carone (Manager NNI) speakers at Workshop ABI Lab "Business
Continuity – managing continuity in banking".
“Increasing complexity in banking activities,
intensive use of information technology and new risk scenarios consequent
to terrorist attacks, highlight banks need of updating risk evaluation,
adapting security strategies and strengthening emergency control in order
to guarantee suitable levels of operational continuity also considering
accidents of big amount. In the new environment an approach to extended
business continuity, starting from identifying the critical processes,
defines organizational control and emergency measures suitable to the risk
levels.
Two days have been dedicated to the presentation of
results achieved so far and to the comparison between interventions in
progress to maintain high levels of security and operational continuity..
During this
event was presented “ABI Lab methodology for realization of Operational
Continuity Plan”, realized by the working team of Banks and Technological
Partner (Nolan, Norton Italia – KPMG BAS).”
